A Constellation is a profound experience that goes beyond words.

Trying to encapsulate it in a definition would be reductive.

Give yourself the gift of experiencing it.

Sawubona, I see you.

Family Constellations are an effective tool that allows us to address, understand, and integrate various aspects of our lives. They can be applied to multiple spheres of existence, from relationship disharmonies to health issues, from career to practical problem-solving, and are particularly useful for addressing themes that recur cyclically.

We are all the result of a larger story that defines us long before our birth. We are part of multiple systems: groups, but there is a deep and indissoluble bond that connects us to one particular group, commonly known as the Family System.

This system, often referred to as the Family Tree, is shaped by various experiences of its members,

some more dramatic than others. It is a living entity in constant motion, with an autonomous consciousness regulated by precise laws. The Family System of Origin, that is, the family we come from (mother, father, siblings, grandparents, etc.), defines who we are. This happens physically, as we inherit somatic traits, physical features, and bodily characteristics through DNA, also known as the genetic code. Similarly, we may inherit beliefs, emotions, and even the destinies of others, or, driven by unconscious loyalty, perpetuate dynamics that are no longer functional to our lives or those of our descendants.

The method of Systemic Family Constellations, which can be described as experiential, allows us to welcome and integrate information about the unconscious dynamics that govern relationships between the members of a group, with particular attention to the family of origin.

It helps us understand how our lives are connected to the history of others, allowing us to restore harmony and the natural flow of love within the Family System and our own lives.

How Does It Work in Practice?

Family Constellations occur in a group setting and require the presence of:

1. A Seeker: Someone seeking, who stages their own constellation.

2. A Facilitator: Someone who serves the participants by facilitating the process.

3. Representatives: More than mere observers, those who represent various aspects of the situation.

4. The fourth ingredient is called the Morphogenetic Field, Conscious Field, Great System, Network, Soul:

"The conscious field is another way of calling the Soul. Every living organism has a Soul: a person, a group, an animal or plant species, the world, the galaxies. In this context, the organism is called a System."

Bert Hellinger

During a constellation, a group of participants is formed whose encounter may seem apparently random, but in reality, it never is. We always meet by resonance, due to profound similarities between the participants' systems.

In the group, there is a facilitator, someone who presents an intention or problem called the seeker, and other people who participate as representatives.

These can be chosen to represent the family members of this person or the necessary aspects to see the solution. I mean truly represent, as in a theater, and watch as spectators of a play.

The seeker sits next to the facilitator and, after presenting the situation, chooses a person from those present, following their feelings and intuition.

The first participant placed in the scene always represents the seeker.

When you stage your constellation, you are asked to choose someone from the participants who can represent you, so you can observe yourself from the outside.

Subsequently, other people are chosen to represent the various aspects of the issue.

It will then be possible, thanks to the facilitation of a trained operator, to observe the movements

of the participants and understand the unconscious, hidden dynamics that influence a particular situation, the conditioning that comes to us from the Family System, that is, from the history of our Family, from the collective unconscious,  to identify any disharmonies or disorders and restore order and the natural flow of vital energy within the system, with consequent benefits for our lives and those of others belonging to the same system.

This literally happens through representation. Thanks to the acting of the representatives who, moving in a specific space like actors without a script, connected by and to something very subtle and profound that somehow moves us during the constellation and in life, show us the movement and the solution.

"Pull a thread of the web, and the entire structure vibrates."

What does "Representing" Exactly Mean?

It means being chosen during a constellation to represent someone or something.

The representatives present themselves as family members or aspects of a theme and, after a while, begin to feel emotions, sensations, or impulses coming from the Family System in question.

Through them, they begin to move in a predetermined space.

Simply by intention, they connect to the Morphogenetic Field, the network, the System of the Family of the person staging their constellation, and let themselves be carried by what emerges.

One is never chosen as a representative by chance, and one never finds themselves participating in a constellation randomly! Never.

When we are chosen to represent a specific role, it is always because that particular issue also concerns our System, our history in some way. Therefore, staging one's own constellation, being chosen as a representative, or simply observing and watching all possess exactly the same value.

All three roles work with the same force and depth on the lives of the participants.

The Roots

Bert Hellinger, the creator, promoter, and perfecter of Systemic Family Constellations, was born on December 16, 1925, and passed away on September 19, 2019.

A brilliant and multifaceted figure, Hellinger was a psychologist, theologian, and pedagogue,

a courageous pioneer with a unique and profound vision.

Explorer of the world and the soul, Hellinger managed to escape from a prisoner-of-war camp and the horrors of World War II at the age of twenty, which nonetheless deeply marked his life.

At the age of five, he had already decided that, once grown up, he would become a priest, which he did. He dedicated himself to spiritual studies, meditation, prayer, and contemplation.

He was a missionary in South Africa for nearly 20 years, where he lived in close contact with the Zulu people, learning their language and culture and discovering the profound link between ancestry and individual and collective well-being. Traditional Zulu practices demonstrated how honoring ancestors could resolve family ties, strengthen communities, and weave a strong social bond.

Hellinger held positions of great responsibility within his order and never stopped learning.

During his stay in South Africa, he participated in an Anglican conference where the group leader asked: "What is more important to you: ideals or people?"

This question deeply struck him; he himself defined it as a turning point in his life.

Committed to putting the human being and life at the center, beyond any ideology, endowed with independent thought and the will to follow the truth of his own heart, he left the priesthood.

He was 45 years old when he went to live in Vienna, where he began psychoanalytic training.

The theory of Systemic Family Constellations, as we know it today, is the fruit of his genius and dedication. Hellinger knew how to integrate the studies of great names such as Virginia Satir, J.L. Moreno, Arthur Janov, Eric Berne, C.G. Jung, and many others, his therapeutic work with personal life experiences, laying the foundations for a method that he himself defines as: "at the service of life."

"...I look with great humility at what I have been able to do with Family Constellations. I would never have dreamed that what I defined as aids to life would one day be practiced all over the world. The fact that I have been able to help so many people through Family Constellations fills me with joy and deep gratitude towards destiny." - Bert Hellinger

Family, Spiritual, and Medial Constellations

Bert Hellinger developed the method of Family Constellations, which over time evolved into Spiritual and Medial Constellations, taking the work to a deeper level.

Family Constellations are based on the idea that every individual is part of an interconnected family system, regulated by invisible laws that determine the flow of love and the destiny of descendants. According to Hellinger, many personal difficulties arise from entanglements: unconscious ties to the unresolved destinies of ancestors.

The goal of Constellations is to bring these hidden dynamics to light, restore the natural order, and allow love to flow freely within the system. This happens through a representation in which participants embody family members, revealing deep and unconscious movements.

Over time, Hellinger recognized that not only the family system but something greater guides our destiny. In Spiritual Constellations, the focus shifts from personal history to connection with a higher order that transcends the family and connects us to the entire universe. Here, the work becomes less analytical and more intuitive, allowing the movements of the soul to emerge without the need for rational interpretations.

Thus, from Family Constellations—focused on family and systemic dynamics—to Spiritual Constellations—open to a deeper level of the soul and higher order—to Medial Constellations—where the constellator relies completely on the guidance of a greater consciousness.

This evolution reflects Hellinger's increasingly intuitive and spiritual approach, taking the method beyond the concept of therapy toward a dimension of deep acceptance and reconciliation with life.

Evolutionary Constellations®

www.accademiajna.it

Evolutionary Constellations® draw inspiration from Bert Hellinger's family constellations methodology, according to which past family experiences interfere spiritually in present life, preventing full realization in one or more areas of life.

However, Evolutionary Constellations® refer to the Family Tree as a spiritual entity, endowed with its own karma and system of beliefs that structures and modifies over time through the life experiences of its members.

Moreover, the Family Tree has its own evolutionary plan. The evolutionary plan of the Family Tree involves the experimentation of new human experiences capable of transporting the Tree and its members towards ever-new realities.

Thus, the Family Tree is a superior entity that desires to learn, transform, change course, and break the chains that oblige the continuous repetition of events. For this purpose, the Family Tree calls to itself the pioneers of the system, that is, different Souls who are born with the objective of destabilizing the system's energy, changing family beliefs, making different choices, and allowing the influx of new energy.

Often, these pioneers are experienced and experience themselves as "black sheep" because they see the world through different lenses than their ancestors and have aspirations so different as to be considered strange or out of place. However, the pioneers represent the new branches of the Tree, those that stretch towards the future, grow upwards, and look ahead. For the Family Tree, the pioneers are a blessing because they bring new stories and are bearers of freedom.

Those who recognize themselves as pioneers of the Tree have an important evolutionary task to fulfill, both spiritually and systemically. The personal aspirations of each one are always in perfect harmony with the evolution of the Family Tree and with one's own spirituality.

It is important to become aware of this and to carry forward one's spiritual evolutionary plan with enthusiasm, joy, and serenity.

Evolutionary Constellations® allow one to stage one's moment in life following Bert Hellinger's methodology but also reveal the systemic evolutionary project and role, helping to rediscover oneself in complete harmony with the energy of the Family Tree of belonging.

Experiencing an Evolutionary Constellation® can be a very moving and touching experience. For more information, a book is available on Amazon and Giardino dei Libri: "Evolutionary Family Constellations and Healing the Family Tree."

Animals

Anima lì.

They are also members of our family!

Constellations can also be directed towards pets, part of our family. Like us, they experience life made of relationships, emotions, and feelings, and they too may express discomfort, experience traumas, or illnesses.

Just like us, our animal friends go through all the phases of life: birth, "puppyhood," adulthood, parenthood, old age, illness, and death. The bond between humans and animals is something very profound. It is a great love, a unique empathetic relationship.

Systemic constellations offer us the opportunity to explore the relational dynamics that occur between family members, including animals, providing an occasion to understand them better and welcome the teachings they offer us.

Our animals are our main mirror. What happens to us is reflected in them. Animals have their life mission and complete ours. Science has confirmed it: our animals have a spiritual mission within our lives. They choose us; they are part of our destiny, just like people. Anyone who owns a dog knows this well!

Have you ever noticed that their behavior changes based on our mood? This happens because, according to experts, our four-legged friends have what is called "emotional contagion" or empathy. They perceive our state of mind and behave accordingly. But that's not all!

Animals know the secrets! That's right; they know everything, perceiving the dynamics of the collective unconscious of the system, of the family, offering us precious opportunities for healing. Moreover, they can provide us with a kind of energetic protection, storing dissonant energies.

Shamanic traditions offer us another awareness, recognizing in animals powerful spirit guardians, allies, and guides. According to shamans and medicine men, you do not choose the animal; rather, it is the spirit of the animal that chooses you. The animal offers protection, tutelage, and guidance and is of great help during healing processes.

During the constellation, the seeker presents a theme related to an animal, observing the movement that shows the solution.

The animals are not physically involved in the representation.

My Experience

There are encounters that leave a deep mark in our lives, people who mark a before and after in our journey. In the story of my life, one of these people is named Sara, a soul who knows how

to be a channel, serving with authenticity and presence. My journey with Family Constellations began  with Sara Savini, today a friend, endowed with remarkable patience!  www.sarasavini.com

The first time I participated in a Family Constellation, I practically didn't even know what it was about. When the first representation was set up and the movement began, despite my astonishment at what

I was seeing, I was immediately transported into something so great and powerful that it touched me deeply. Encountering Constellations was, for me, discovering a new "language," a "code" capable of reading life between the lines and learning to observe and feel.

I perceived contact with the field, with the network, as the possibility of communicating with intent and precision with Life itself, with the Soul, its movements, and its laws.

During a constellation, just as in Life, there is no such thing as chance.

Every word, every glance, and every movement tell us a story that takes us on a beautiful journey through time and speaks of the present because, in a certain sense, everything coexists.

All the answers are in the present, before the eyes of those who know how to look, when they are allowed to see.

For me, constellating means learning to listen and listen to oneself, trusting one's feelings, and letting oneself be traversed by a superior and sacred consciousness. Constellating is perceiving with certainty that we are not separate but united by this immense consciousness that encompasses everything and everyone, knows no limits of time or space, and of which we are all a part.

Constellations, the logic, and the feelings that accompany them represent, in my opinion, a great hope for the future of the planet. Observing life from this point of view pushes us beyond judgment and allows us to see a broader design.

This approach can be applied not only to harmonize the family system but all systems.

Constellations offer us the practical opportunity to tangibly experience that we are one, all connected.

Family Constellations do not configure as psychotherapy. Rather, they represent support for life in its purest essence. Today, this tool is used globally in the fields of health, justice, education, and economics. This approach requires a completely new vision and attitude towards life, not comparable to any existing method; it is a new profession.

A Brazilian judge, Judge Sami Storch, heard about Bert Hellinger's work and Family Constellations (systemic). He went to Germany to learn from Bert Hellinger and then introduced constellations in Brazil and in the courtroom. Since then, 19 Brazilian states have introduced constellations into their courts in one way or another, with exceptional results.

However, Family Constellations are not simply a technique or method to be learned.

To practice them, it is essential to have direct personal experiences; it is necessary to allow oneself

the experience.
